Motorhome Review: Pilote Aventura G600 LA

April 13, 2015

Scooping the title of Compact Motorhome of the Year 2014, this Pilote motorhome combines small size with a spacious interior. In our Pilote Aventura G600 LA review, we’ll take a look at this class-leading motorhome and show you how you could get an Aventura of your own. Let’s take a look at what this motorhome has to offer.

Design

When it comes to the Aventura, Pilote motorhome reviews never fail to mention the expert combo of a spacious interior with a compact appearance – and we have to agree. Despite being just under 6 metres long, the width of the Aventura isn’t compromised – meaning there’s plenty of room inside the vehicle. Pilote motorhomes are known for using creative craftsmanship and innovative design for best results and this model certainly maintains their reputation.

Interior

Step inside the Pilote Aventura and you’ll be pleasantly surprised by the amount of light the cabin gets, and the space at hand – particularly if you opt out of having the fixed table in the centre of the lounge area. The living space is a design innovation in itself, with its L-shaped sofa and swivelling seats meaning it can accommodate up to 7 people. Moving into the kitchen area, the French designers have installed a new standard size oven, similar to what we’d expect from British built motorhomes. The kitchen is well-equipped with a generous fridge-freezer boasting 160 litres of storage in total, as well as a number of lockers for extra practicality.

Given the surprising amount of space in the lounge and kitchen, you’d be forgiven for thinking the size of the washroom will suffer – but the opposite is actually true. Strategically using space above and below the basin for storage, this Pilote ensures every inch of the washroom is fully utilised. And the shower doesn’t disappoint either – offering up to 6ft of space, with a shelf for your shower gels and folding doors to maximise the room available. While the main bed pulls down from the ceiling, the fixed table in the French spec allows for a lounge bed. There is a small ladder which allows you to gain access to the main sleeping area, although stepping onto the sofa would give you enough height to climb into bed – and the generous headroom means you shouldn’t go ‘bump’ in the night!

Price

Whether you want to pitch up by the coast or cruise around the countryside, a motorhome is the perfect travel companion. If you’re looking to spend some time out on the open road and like the look of the Pilote Aventura G600 LA, this compact camper could be yours from £50,000.
