Sprite Quattro EW: The Ultimate Family Caravan

December 8, 2014

Sprite Caravans celebrate their 65th anniversary this year and the designers at Swift Group have honoured the brand with a new model – the Sprite Quattro EW. This wonderful 6-berth, twin axle family caravan takes everything we loved about the Sprite in the past and gives the caravan a refreshing update including some nifty new innovations. The result is a beautiful, spacious family caravan with a ridiculously low price tag. We instantly fell in love with the Sprite Quattro EW, and here’s why.

If you’re a fan of Swift Group caravans or have owned Sprite caravans in the past, you’ll see right away that the Sprite Quattro EW is different. They’ve done away with the brand’s signature timber battens in the body shell and replaced them with a system dubbed ‘SMART’ – which uses a kind of polyurethane that accepts screw fixings and is impervious to water. This makes fitting personal touches to the caravan much simpler than it’s been in the past.

The classic L-shaped lounge is back – and we’ve definitely missed it. Over the last decade, we’ve not seen many caravans put the L Lounge into their newer models, instead opting for different approaches to create space. However, seeing its return in the form of the Quattro EW made us realise the original space saver just can’t be beat. During waking hours, the L lounge offers a sea of legroom and easy access to your couch – and at night transforms into a massive double bed.

We went gaga over the rather roomy washroom, which can definitely be described as luxurious in this price range. The Quattro EW exploits this extra space by including a large wash basin, a very spacious shower cubicle and lots of legroom in front of the toilet. Space in the bathroom is usually one of the biggest complaints large families have with caravans, but this certainly won’t be a problem with the Sprite Quattro EW.

The kitchen offers a ton of handy storage space, plenty of work surface, a 3 burner stove with a separate oven and grill and an 113litre fridge – and if you opt for the optional Diamond kit, you’ll even get a microwave oven to boot.

With very generous storage space, stain resistant colours on all the fabrics, six berths and lots of manoeuvring space in the places you need it most, this really is the ultimate family caravan – and for £335 extra, they’ll even throw in a sunroof. So if you’re looking to buy a large family caravan, you can stop now – the Sprite Quattro EW has got everything you need.
