Caravan Reviews: the Elddis Sanremo 304

January 19, 2015

For the last five decades, Elddis Caravans has been producing high quality, affordable caravans. The company is known for their solid construction, economical prices and clever designs – and every Elddis Caravan comes with a three-year manufacturer’s warranty and ten-year bodyshell integrity warranty. It’s also worth noting that buying an Elddis Caravan gives you access to the Elddis Owners Club – one of the oldest caravanning clubs in the UK, which holds over 60 rallies a year.

In today’s review, we’re taking a closer look at the Elddis Sanremo 304. This entry level caravan is a perfect gateway into caravanning, but will also charm long time caravanners who prefer compact caravans – and we’ve got all the details right here.

Design

The Sanremo 304 is the most compact caravan in the Elddis Sanremo range and the lightest caravan being built in the UK today. It manages this by using Elddis Caravans’ innovative Solid Construction technique. Instead of using screws and bolts, Elddis uses industrial strength adhesives – resulting in a stronger, lighter and dryer range of caravans. Because of this, the Sanremo 304 can be pulled by virtually any car and is very easy to manoeuvre, making it perfect for new towers.

Interior

The Elddis Sanremo may be compact, but it’s certainly not cramped. Its four berths are geared towards families of four and slide away easily when not in use. At the front of the caravan, we find a comfortable L-lounge – which transforms into a 2 person berth at night. A well kitted-out kitchen provides ample space to prepare meals, with a 3 hob gas burner, mains hotplate, oven/grill, microwave, sink and fridge/freezer. A small washroom provides a sink, toilet and shower, and the two child sized bunk berths can be flipped out of the way to create a two person kitchenette. A huge front window floods the Sanremo with light during the day, and at night the LED lighting provides a cosy and well lit living space. To top it all off, the Elddis Sanremo has four 230V sockets – satisfying any and all of your family’s charging needs.

Features

The Elddis Sanremo is a perfect caravan to get used to towing. It’s easy to manoeuvre and its Al-Ko AKS 3004 stabiliser keeps it steady when driving in strong winds, even at top speed. Despite being a compact caravan, it comes with oodles and oodles of storage space – and a family of four will have no trouble fitting all their gear in the many lockers, cupboards and shelves of the Sanremo.

The Elddis Sanremo’s entry price is a very economic £13,990 and the caravan comes with all the kit you need.
