Caravan Review: The Bailey Unicorn 3

February 3, 2015

For those in the know, Bailey caravans are some of the best in the business – which isn’t surprising, as they’ve been in production for over 65 years. When it comes to luxury caravans that ooze style and comfort, Bailey really know how to pull out all the stops – and the Bailey Unicorn 3 series is no exception.

Although the 1 & 2 series were indisputably great caravans, full of innovative design elements, it looks like the 3 series has gone to the next level.  So let’s get down to it – it’s time to take a look at this caravan’s new and improved features in our Bailey Unicorn 3 review.

The Bailey Unicorn 3 has eight different design layouts to choose from, which have all been privy to improvements on exterior and interior design. The first thing you’ll notice is the changes to the exterior design. They’ve done away with the dated cream-coloured side panels and opted for a crisp white theme instead, giving the caravan a more modern and sleek aesthetic.

On top of that, the boxy exterior has given way to smoother lines and clever graphics, which make the panoramic central front window blend in better overall. The window is now an almost faultless feature, giving wonderful light inside and as a vertical opening skylight.

The interior has been upgraded, too. Bailey continue to provide a luxury feel throughout, with an emphasis on space – and there are new seat layouts, upgraded kitchens and new fabric choices, accompanied by tweaked features for extra functionality.

Whichever design you choose, the airy and spacious interior and clever storage will make you want to spend more time indoors, whatever the weather. All layouts feature front panel bench seating, which mean you can make the most of the panoramic view in the daytime, or have a relaxing evening meal. These seats also serve as two single bunks or convert into a double bed.

This leaves the back end of the caravan with plenty of space for the kitchen, washroom and storage and an additional fixed double bed depending on which design you opt for. At first glance, the offside kitchen may look compact, but it has extra worktop space and adequate storage so you won’t feel cramped. Each design is fitted with a large fridge, oven, dual fuel hob and microwave oven so you can cook up a storm!

For those of you who like space in the bathroom, the Unicorn 3’s washrooms are ideal. They feature a fully lined large shower cubicle with down-lighters, toilet and wash basin plus a shelf for storage and still plenty of space to move around.

The Unicorn 3 range is excellent value for money, with prices starting at £19,525 for the two-berth and up to £22,795 for the four-berths. For that price, you get a luxurious caravan with deluxe fixtures and fittings, clever storage and an upgraded interior so you can tour in style and comfort all year round.
